One Last Shot by Susan May Warren
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
A good start to what promises to be an exciting series!
Susan May Warren is one of my favorite authors, so of course I jumped at the chance to read one of her latest releases.
Both Oaken and Boo were engaging, sympathetic characters who went through a lot of hard times. Their backstories added to the depth of the plot, and I enjoyed “meeting” them. I’m also anticipating reading the stories of some of the side characters.
The plot moved along at a good clip and contained the adventure and romance I’ve come to expect when picking up a Susan May Warren book. I did have a little difficulty with the writing style for the first few chapters, but that went away as I read on. I appreciated that the romance and language were clean and that the main characters were growing in their faith. I did disagree with a bit of the faith content, but that didn’t take away much from my enjoyment of the story.
Overall, I found One Last Shot to be an exciting read that I’d recommend to those who enjoy Christian fiction, romance, and adventure. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the Alaska Air One Rescue series.

Great review! Did you have a favorite character in this one? I loved Oaken and Boo, but I’m excited to be getting the story for some of the other characters in this series as well!
